Left Phetchabun at 11am and proceeded southwards on highway 21 and later turned into highway 225.
After about 210 km, I reached Chaiyaphum at 3pm. The road conditions on 225 were fairly poor as there were many potholes.
Chaiyaphum is very similar to Phetchabun as it too is relatively untouched by Thailand's relentless tourism growth. Again I had quite a hard time finding a decent hotel.
Another similar characteristic is that I realize that their local markets will tend to open in the evening hours and people would do their marketing in the evening, most probably after work/dinner.
The only building that resembles a shopping centre here is the 'Tesco lotus' supermarket where I had my tekiyaki salmon set follow by swensens sundae for dinner. Cost : 120B
After dinner, I rode around and found the night bazaar at the edge of town near to my hotel. Didn't buy anything there though. Guess I'm just bored..
Expenses:
Hotel - 500B
Petrol - 200B
F&B - 180B
